Nan Zhang
Pianist

A Bit About Me
Nan is a pianist whose lifelong devotion to music shines through every note she plays and every student she teaches. Raised in a community of musical theatre performers, she was immersed in creativity from an early age. At five, she began piano studies under a professor from the Shenyang Conservatory of Music; by seven, she gave her first solo recital, and by ten, she was competing at advanced levels, earning recognition for her talent and poise.
She went on to study at the Central Conservatory of Music, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Musicology and studying with distinguished pianists such as Gleb Koroleff, Katia Jurova, Ma Andrew Cong, and Chen Pi-hsien. Her artistry has been recognized with numerous honors, including third prize at the Liszt Memorial Award International Piano Competition, and performances at the Guangzhou Opera House, Xinghai Concert Hall, and concert halls across Spain.
At 22, Nan earned a second Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and by 25, she founded her first music school—creating a nurturing environment where students could grow in both confidence and skill. Over the past nine years, she has taught piano, music theory, and music history, earning a reputation for her thoughtful, individualized approach to teaching.
Nan is recently completed her Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Katarina Gurska Conservatory of Music in Spain, studying under the esteemed pianist Gleb Koroleff. Her artistry, discipline, and warmth continue to inspire students to explore their musical potential with
curiosity and joy.
